As a result, leadership often found themselves putting hiring resources toward candidates whose skills didn\u2019t match the company\u2019s needs. Their old process looked like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>BigCommerce conducted a basic phone call with candidates<\/li><li>Brought candidates on-site to spend several hours with engineers and leadership<\/li><li>In the last stage, they took a coding assessment using in-house hardware<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More inconsistencies came when candidates found themselves navigating unfamiliar tech. To push forward, BigCommerce\u2019s engineering team required a tech-centered screening process to save time and get the full picture of candidates\u2019 coding styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">With CoderPad, BigCommerce gets a clear view of candidates and a seamless interview experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BigCommerce began integrating CoderPad into its hiring funnel at the Austin, Texas office six years ago.
