Someone know  one good art program for makeing backgrounds?
I need help for makeing backgrounds.When i want to make  d:)a background it said 'You are not allowed to upload backgrounds'.Can someone tell me a good art program?

There is GIMP 2.0, Inkscape (for vector art), and other free Photoshops that can be found once you google 'em. ^^

As for the background uploading  You need to showoff your BGs in Game background board (Usually 3-4) until a mod approved you.

 I guess photoshop is good. I use Photoshop CS3 and it never fails to amaze me.

Painttool SAI is also another good art program. I use Photoshop and SAI for art.

GIMP is avibile to download and is very good, i'm using it. But Photoshop CS3 is also very awesome if you get the hang with it!

Corel Painter is another good program, it's like Photoshop and it's very good used for backgrounds and any other kind of drawings/paintings. ArtRage is perfect too and it's so simple you learn to use it in one day. Only lack is that it doesn't have a text feature and you can't write anything unless you write it by hand with a tablet or a mouse.
Painter is a bit expensive, but ArtRage is totally free  - pro version just has 2 or 3 more options but they're not important for using the program itself.

Photoshop CS4 is quite decent.
I never could get the hang of GIMP.
Paint.Net is pretty good after you get the hang of it. (Well a lot of things are pretty good if you get the hang of it.)

Photoshop is the best one with the most tools, but its expensive.

GIMP is the one I use, and its really good. But (and I dunno if anyone else has this problem) it sometimes encounters problems and closes itself because it 'fails to allocate bites...' or something. But as long as you save regularly it isn't a problem.

Although Photoshop can be pretty pricey, I think it's definitely worth what you pay for it. It has the best tools and features and it's the easiest to work with, in my opinion.

If you ever have the chance to buy it, I definitely would. If not, GIMP2 is always a good, free option.

These may have been mentioned, but I know a few-Photoshop, GIMP(Other versions, too), Paint.net or something like that, Correl(Sp?)...  Er, I don't know if they're good, I just know those.  xD  And yeah, Photoshop is really pricey, but it is DEFINITELY worth it.  I made my BEAUTIFUL background with it.  :DD xD

Corel Painter is great, and is one of my favourites to use! ^^ It's so simple, and the brush strokes/brushes are possibly one of the most natural you could come across in art programs, besides Photoshop ofcourse. xD The only downfall is that these programs can be expensive, but you can always download a trial version for a little while(usually a month) until you make up your mind on which one to get.
